Alina Homecare’s staff have been visiting my father between two and four times a day for the last three months and as well as numerous conversations with their management team regarding routine issues, on several occasions, I have been present when the carers are visiting. In all my contacts, I have been very impressed by the combination of a professional approach and a genuine caring attitude towards my father and his needs. More than this, I can see over the period my father’s mental and physical health have improved at a time when we would reasonably expect a steady decay. Each of the carers seem to have gone out of their way to learn about my father and engage with him in a meaningful and comfortable way. There hasn’t been one he hasn’t talked positively of. The only minor problem is that visits are sometimes not at the time and with the carer the rota led my father to expect. However, we accept that managing this is a complex task and it is not always possible to be perfect.
