What you’ll do

How much does a Care Worker get paid?

When will I receive my pay?

Our Care Workers are paid every 4 weeks. In addition to your standard hourly pay rate, our Care Worker jobs also come with enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays as well as mileage allowance, paid ongoing training and paid annual leave.

What hours do care workers work?

You can choose from a range of full-time and part-time contracts to suit you. Some of our Care Workers choose guaranteed hours while others opt for flexible working. We’ll work with you to find the right fit, and we ask that you share your availability in advance so that we can arrange rotas. Do I need a driving licence and/or a car?

In most of our locations, Care Workers need a full UK driving licence as well as access to a vehicle. Contact our Jobs Team to check if your local team are taking on walking carers. Alternatively, you can apply to our disability Support Worker and live-in carer roles as they don’t have these requirements.

Where will I work?

Applying for one of our home Care Worker jobs only takes a few minutes, and you could start your role within weeks. After submitting your application, we’ll call you for a chat before booking a video interview. If successful, we’ll do some pre-employment checks including a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and collect your references. You’ll then complete our exclusive Alina Homecare Academy training and shadow members of your local team.

When will I start?

We simply need you to have a caring and can-do attitude. Most of our locations also require a driving licence and access to a vehicle but check with our Jobs Team to see if we are taking walking carers in your local area. Our exclusive Alina Homecare Academy training will give you the skills and confidence needed to develop in your new role + you’ll shadow experienced members of the team when you get started.
