How easy is it to switch from another provider?+
Very straightforward. Most families switch within 2-3 weeks. We’ll meet with you for a free home assessment, agree your care plan, and coordinate the handover. You don’t need to do anything difficult — we manage the transition for you.
Will I get the same carers each visit?+
Wherever possible, yes. Continuity matters — especially for people living with dementia or complex needs. We work hard to give you a small, consistent team of carers who really get to know you and your routine.
How does the Birdie app work?+
Our carers use the Birdie app on a mobile device during every visit to log tasks, record medications, note observations and flag any concerns in real time. With your consent, family members can use the Birdie Family App to see exactly what’s happened during each visit — wherever they are in the world.
How much does Alina Homecare cost?+
Cost depends on the level of care you need — from short visiting calls through to 24/7 live-in care. Our pricing is competitive and transparent, with no hidden fees. We’ll provide a full written quote after your free home assessment.
Are you regulated?+
Yes. Every Alina Homecare branch is regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). You can find each branch’s CQC report on the CQC website, and we’re happy to share them directly.
How quickly can care start?+
In most cases, we can install emergency care within 48 hours of initial contact — sometimes sooner if needed. For non-urgent care, we typically start within a week of your free assessment.
