Overnight Care
Find quality Overnight Care in the comfort of your own home.
What is Overnight Care?
Overnight Care at home is when a Care Worker stays in your home during the night and provides support until the morning.
We understand care could be needed at any time of the day. Our Overnight Care is designed to provide this support, offering trained care professionals for peace of mind whenever you need them.
Whether you or your loved one require 24 hour support or struggle with anxiety during the early hours, our Care Workers are ready to help.
We provide many Home Care services overnight. From assisting with personal hygiene, administering medication or help going to the bathroom, Overnight Care ensures you or your loved one can enjoy a safe and secure night’s sleep.
Your home. Your care. Your choice.
Who can benefit from Overnight Care?
Anyone can benefit from Overnight Care. We can support you or your loved one with physical needs, both regular and complex, as well as providing companionship or regular respite when you need it most.
Whether you or your loved one struggles with mobility due to frailty or a condition like a spinal injury, we can support care needs such as turning in bed or going to the toilet.
Our Care Workers can provide a calming and reassuring presence if your loved one has a condition that means they regularly wake through the night and struggle with restlessness. This could include our elderly sitting service, dementia support or Home Care for Parkinson’s.
It’s all about you. Overnight Care can be tailored to however much or little care you need. Simply choose from our Overnight Care options.
Why choose Alina Homecare?
What’s the difference between a waking night and a sleeping night?
A waking night involves your Care Worker staying awake for the entire night to help you. A sleeping night is when your Care Worker sleeps in your home for the night but is close by in case you need any support.
If you need support more than twice a night
If you or your loved one needs support more than twice during the night, our waking nights service can provide necessary reassurance.
To support complex needs
Waking nights are a popular choice for people with more complex needs. If you or your loved one are recovering from surgery, have dementia or need Palliative Care, a waking night may be the best choice to give reassurance and extra peace of mind. We can provide two Overnight Care Workers for a waking night if you have specific needs such as being turned in bed.
If your loved one has dementia
If your loved one has dementia, they may become confused during the night and unsure of what time of day it is. Our Care Workers can provide calm reassurance.
Sleeping nights are slightly different than waking nights as your Care Worker sleeps in your home in a separate room. Of course, they are still ready to help if you need them.
This is ideal if you or your loved one need occasional support, such as if you suffer with arthritis, chronic pain, or other conditions that cause discomfort while sleeping.
Sleeping nights may be sufficient if you don’t need physical care. For instance, our sleeping night service could provide reassurance if your loved one becomes anxious during the night or worries when they wake up alone.

How does Alina Homecare compare to an introductory agency?
Agencies are not regulated and quality cannot be guaranteed. We provide fully regulated services that are inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We also provide full and exclusive training for our Care Workers, whereas private and agency carers may not have comprehensive training. In addition to this, our services are also backed up with central support; this means you can count on us even if your Care Worker needs time off as our local Team can step in to ensure continuity of care.

How is Overnight Care monitored?
Like all our services, our Overnight Care is regulated by the CQC. The CQC is an independent regulator that inspects our services to ensure our quality standards are maintained. This includes checking that our care is focused on our clients as individuals, as well as that we keep you safe and secure at all times.
In addition to this, we are proud to partner with Birdie. Birdie’s innovative care technology enables us to digitally log and monitor the support we provide. The Birdie Family App, with your consent, also allows full visibility of care at any time for you and your loved ones. It’s a great way of providing added reassurance that you’re receiving the highest quality care.
