Tinnitus Awareness Week

From February 4-10th the British Tinnitus Association (BTA) are spreading awareness of Tinnitus and how sufferers often feel isolated. 

What is Tinnitus? 
Tinnitus is the hearing of external noises, when there is no external noise source. This can include a dull subtle noise, to anything more significant. It can occur in anyone from any age, particularly in musicians, loud machine operators and loud head-phone users; all of whom would not use ear protection. 

Awareness Week
This is why it is important to spread prevention methods as well as support those coping with Tinnitus. BTA have found that individuals with Tinnitus often feel isolated, therefore have organised a series of events to challenge this. The schedule is as follows:
