Confidence
Knowing there is someone there to support you or your loved one provides added confidence and peace of mind. Our Companionship Carers are there to not only make life at home more comfortable but to be a companion on trips out so you or your loved one doesn’t have to go alone. Having someone to support you or your loved one can provide a boost of confidence, leading to better quality of life.
Wellbeing support
Many elderly people experience loneliness. Having an elderly companion means there is someone there to provide social interaction and valuable support for you or your loved ones. We dedicate our time to understanding your situation and needs. Companion Care can be just what you or your loved one needs to support mental wellbeing.
Relieve caregivers
Many older people receive care from their loved ones, but this can become overwhelming over time and put pressure on the relationship. Companion Respite Care can relieve primary caregivers, allowing them to have a regular break and time for themselves. At Alina Homecare, we do our best to fill in for you or your usual caregiver to ensure continuity of quality companionship.
Continue hobbies
Gardening for seniors, watching a classic film or knitting a jumper. We all want to continue our favourite hobbies and often, it’s more fun sharing your interests and passions with someone like minded. Our Companion Carers support you or your loved one to continue usual hobbies.
Social interaction
Social interaction can bring great benefits to your mental wellbeing. Having a caring person there to listen to your thoughts and feelings can make a huge difference to your day. Companion Care at Home can particularly benefit the elderly who live alone or receive little social interaction. This can be round the clock or part of our sitting service for elderly people.

How does Alina Homecare compare to an agency?
Agencies are not regulated and quality cannot be guaranteed. We provide fully regulated services that are inspected by the CQC. We also provide full and exclusive training for our Care Workers, whereas private and agency Carers may not have comprehensive training. In addition to this, our services are also backed up with central support; this means you can count on us even if your Care Worker needs time off, as our local Team can step in to ensure continuity of care.
How is Companion Care monitored?
Like all our services, our Companion Care is regulated by the CQC. The CQC is an independent regulator that inspects our services to ensure our quality standards are maintained. This includes checking that our care is focused on our clients as individuals, as well as that we keep you safe at all times. In addition to this, we are proud to partner with Birdie. Birdie’s innovative care technology enables us to digitally log and monitor the support we provide. The Birdie Family app., with your consent, also allows full visibility of care at any time for you and your loved ones. It’s a great way of providing added reassurance that you’re receiving the highest quality care.
